If you’ve been watching the news over the past week, you’ve seen the devastation Hurricane Sandy wreaked over New York and New Jersey. People have lost everything — their homes, their cars, clothes, etc. — and they need our help. Baltimore made it through relatively unscathed, and for that, I am extremely grateful.
Some of the folks who suffered tragic losses were FDNY firefighters — their parents, their children, their spouses — and they need our help. The men and women of BCFD T10 and E8 companies are taking a truckload of supplies to NYC to help their fellow firefighters and their families, and you can help — even the smallest donation will go a long way towards restoring some kind of normalcy to these peoples’ lives.
What’s Needed:
- Clothes (especially sweaters, coats, gloves, hats, etc.)
- Batteries
- Water
- Cleaning supplies (bleach, paper towels, sponges, Windex, etc.)
- Blankets
- Baby supplies (diapers, formula, baby food, bottles, warm clothes and blankets, etc.)
- Personal Hygiene Items
Please drop off your donations to the firehouse — 1503 W Lafayette Avenue no later than 12 NOON on Thursday, November the 8th.
Thank you for your generosity.
