WBAL reported a body was found in a house fire on S. Monroe Street Wednesday morning.  According to a City source on the scene, the body was dumped in the vacant home, wrapped in plastic.  This is the second time a body wrapped in plastic was found in a burned home, according to the source.  Hopefully these are being added to the city’s homicide count.

The house, located at 10 S. Monroe Street, is owned by Zephaniah and Lorine Beckford, of Park Heights Terrace in Baltimore.  The house was in foreclosure in 2007, but the Beckfords managed to pay the amount due.  They were also the defendants in multiple foreclosures on other properties, housing violations, and a lead paint case.
