lets take matters into our own hands – squat and fix up these buildings so we can live in them!
I’m honestly surprised nobody’s done this already.
I think that if things get desperate enough, people will start doing this. I mean, you can only look at the same vacant for so long before you’re tempted to take things into your own hands!
I think in other cities, it would have already been done. New York, for example… Many of the warehouse buildings that were built in the late 19th century were abandoned. Artists took them over and now they’re multi-million-dollar condo buildings. I’ve always wanted one of those tall buildings on Howard Street…office/studio downstairs, living above.
