According to an April 1 press release, the Maryland Department of the Environment fined two Baltimore City property owners for lead paint violations. The citations were for 10 affected properties, and fines totaled $18,000. Kudos to MDE for making landlords comply with lead safety standards! The two property owners named were Khadija Saka and Kayvonne Whyte.
