What a shame…these looked like beautiful properties in their heyday.

Yes, I imagine they were beautiful in their heyday. 2723 was recently purchased by a seemingly decent property owner…hopefully it will be renovated soon, which is why I didn’t include it on the blog post.

Im a patriotic American. So i hate to say this. But i can honestly not think of any other industrialised nation that would a street as prominent as North Ave stay extremely blighted for years and years.

Large parts of North Ave look like Germany in 1945.The difference being , that Germany had fixed up most of its bombed out buildings by the mid 50s and pretty much all of them by the 1960s.Whereas huge parts of Baltimore have remained blighted since the 1980s, 70s and even since the 68 riots.

The equivilant would be if Germany had not fixed up thier bombed out houses by 1985 .

A lot of these houses in Baltimore have literally been rotting for 40 years now
